Pretty Paris Carnival Pictures

Playing like kids in Paris Chéri and I went out to play on the last day of the carnival at the Grand Palais. It was a sugar-coated-colorful afternoon of playful diversion from daily life. I toted along my camera, knowing full well I was going to want to snap pictures like crazy. And I did. I have more in the flickr album if you don’t get enough here on the blog!  Enjoy my shots and let me know which ones are your top three favorites in the comments below.

My Mother In Law’s Saffran Risotto

Christmas eve risotto with scallops and shrimp I have been dying to share this recipe with you ever since Christmas eve.But first, credit due where credit is deserved : this is my mother in-law’s special Christmas eve recipe, and these images (and instructions) come from our Christmas eve family dinner with them, which is her holiday tradition. Chéri and I helped in the making of this so that I could document it and be able to understand how to prepare it, perfectly. I hope we will have many more years together as a family making this amazing meal.

THAT Lou – Museum Treasure Hunt

I have been dying to write about THAT Lou for some time now, but I wanted to do so with the voice of experience. Alas, time and scheduling constraints have kept me from joining one of her acclaimed treasure hunt tours thus far. But the idea is SO COOL! Imagine visiting a museum and having fun! So here is Daisy’s oeuvre in all it’s press release glory! I will get on one of her hunts one of these days…I promise! In the meantime I urge you to play the THAT Lou game on your next trip to Paris or on your next rainy day off! It’s a great idea for groups of friends and or family, student groups or even employee groups working on team building. Continue reading
