Chéri and I went out to play on the last day of the carnival at the Grand Palais. It was a sugar-coated-colorful afternoon of playful diversion from daily life. I toted along my camera, knowing full well I was going to want to snap pictures like crazy. And I did. I have more in the flickr album if you don’t get enough here on the blog! I have been dying to share this recipe with you ever since Christmas eve.But first, credit due where credit is deserved : this is my mother in-law’s special Christmas eve recipe, and these images (and instructions) come from our Christmas eve family dinner with them, which is her holiday tradition. Chéri and I helped in the making of this so that I could document it and be able to understand how to prepare it, perfectly. I hope we will have many more years together as a family making this amazing meal.

After a rich and delicious meal with my in-laws, a digestive stroll around the neighborhood and several phone calls to family back in the USA, I can wrap up this Christmas and snuggle up on the couch with Chéri, and it is safe to say that this year has been full of cheer. I wish the same and more to all of you!

I have been dying to write about THAT Lou for some time now, but I wanted to do so with the voice of experience. Alas, time and scheduling constraints have kept me from joining one of her acclaimed treasure hunt tours thus far. But the idea is SO COOL! Imagine visiting a museum and having fun! So here is Daisy’s oeuvre in all it’s press release glory! I will get on one of her hunts one of these days…I promise!
