What better combo is there than fun and pretty things to wear and cupcakes? Ok, I COULD think of a few other combinations that are even more fabulous, but this one is up in the top ten list! Mlle Olivia Cummings of Cleopatra’s Bling hosted a private sale recently at the Sugar Daze cupcake shop in the 9th.
So the prêt-à-porter fashion week is looming up over us at this very moment… but before I launch into it, I absolutely must show you the Oscar Carvallo A/W 2013 couture collection that happened in July. It’s magical!
If you know Prête-Moi Paris, then you know we love pink!
Parisian gentlemen and pink, definitely go together.
I’m all for the dashing intelligent man with a chiseled jaw, in a rose hue and a good cologne. It’s the juxtaposition of a five-o’clock shadow and a light delicate color such a rose pale that really brings out the contrasting mâle and his softer side. A perfect blend of which, most women love. N’est-ce pas?!?
Annick Goutal has a new scent for men that I am dying to have Chéri try… Eau de Monsieur. It just sounds dashing and chic! I’m already convinced that it’s the epitome of Parisian male elegance.
Would you like to see YOUR chéri wearing pink? Does he already?!? Send me a picture of your chéri dressing in something pink… I’ll post them here below.
*Bisous de Paris…chéris!*

With the weather cooling down and schools back in session, it’s fair to say that come September, Paris is in its prime. From some great gigs to go to, to a number of festivals to attend, here’s our round up of late-summer and early-Autumn events around the capital that are well worth stopping by if you’re in town.
As a Paris expat blogger, I am always happy to let you all know about my other fellow expat friends and bloggers. I am thrilled to present you with two fabulous ladies today!
I was so thrilled to interview Mr Buchinho for my pal Ko Kok (on camera). I did find his diversion from his usual calming colors, towards something much more violent (as far as colors go) completely enthralling. I loved his use of very striking lines and shapes as will as the contrasting hues. I have truly enjoyed watching his collections evolve over the seasons, and hope to continue to see them shown in Paris for years to come.
I find him to be not only quite a talented designer, but also a thoughtful artist and a very approachable gentleman.
The collection was inspired by the revolution in Portugal in the 1970’s. What do you all think of these vibrant (and violent) red hues for next Fall season?

Once again, I was on the edge of my seat viewing Claudine’s new collection, and as always, it left me speechless. For next Fall she has diverged from the light and airy of her last few collections, and gone for something quite different from before. Her inspiration comes from the Countess of Castiglione, a mysterious character from the 19th century. She was beautiful, stunning, and was an advocate for the advancement of photography in its beginnings. When she got older, she kept herself all day in her place Vendome apartment (that was decorated all in black) and only went out at night, so it was easier to hide her aging beauty.
So of course I was beyond delighted to see such a contrasted inspiration on Mme Ivari’s work. This means that creativity it high whenever big changes take place. Check out my quick interview with the creatrice after the show (and ignore the fact that I look tired and exhausted, I need vacation!) with my buddy Ko Kok on the camera :
A new shopping concept has hit the internet shopping scene. This website I am presenting to you has created a venue online where you can shop local boutiques in far away cities. What do I mean? Well… you know that little boutique on rue Montorgueil in Paris that sells items that can only be obtained by WALKING into THAT store… well not anymore. You can now shop items from that store through the wonderful world of Shoptiques!
Devastée, a team of two with a dark youthful theme. I covered their show back in 2011 for their Fall-Winter collection 2011/12.
