So the Prête-Moi Paris 4 year blogiversary fête was a hit and a success. Complete with a vintage fashion show, champagne, and a raffle for prizes, it was a feast of pink fluff, cupcakes and DIY!
Sion of Paris Imperfect and Gail of Perfectly Paris ; Meg of De Quelle Planète Es-Tu? Lisa of Ella Coquine Mary Kay of Out And About in Paris and Patricia of Patricia Parisienne have all written posts on the event. Thanks ladies! You make me sound waaay too fab! *blushing*
It was a fabulous gathering of our little blogging community in Paris, most of us expats, but a Frenchy and a best friend or two and the crowd was well mixed albeit largely feminine (yeah girl power!). Chéri high-tailed it far away for the evening. Something tells me all those pink puff scared him a little. But being the absolute chéri that he is, he helped me clean up every last sequin sparkle and cupcake crumb when it was all over. I am truly a lucky woman.
I have been wanting to blog about this trend for a little while now, and my new Polyvore account just made it even more simple for me! It’s even more fun and easy than my Shopstyle account. And allows you to blog your style creations with just a click!
So this clutch thing… I think we will see more and more people (in fact we already do) walking around with a clutch in place of a bag. I say “people” because it is not a trend just for women anymore! Mens’ clutches are all over the catwalks these days. The contest for who’s got the bigger birkin is over. It’s all about the bag becoming a real statement and charming accessory as well as being functional. Its first function? Lightening our load! Continue reading
I HAVE GOT TO SHARE THIS WITH ALL OF YOU!
One of my fellow Paris expat bloggers, has made a few serendipitous rencontres, and come up with a pretty fantastic idea, about love in Paris no less. Yes! Jennifer Geraghty is a screen writer and actress who took the precarious plunge two years ago to try to make it in the city of love and light. After much hard work and a huge bundle of her contagious sense of humor, she has launched her project. This lady is determined (just read her posts about getting through the ominous French administrative system in order to stay here), but she is also determined to succeed. And I think she is just about to…
She has a series of shows already written, and shot, all on the subject of love and dating in Paris. Want to know how to snag a Frenchman? Want to know the secrets to dating the French? Want to know what all the mystery is about?!? Well read on…
Kasia Dietz is a pretty regular subject on my blog. I want to share with you all some of her recent achievements.
Her Pop Art and City Bag collection, plus a sneak peek preview of her upcoming collection and her new found popularity in Hong Kong fashion!
U Magazine did a spread on Paris Style and included a piece on Kasia’s work! Congrats to this fabulous expat designer on getting a great start on conquering the Asian market!
Last month, Kasia Dietz held a fun workshop for a few fans, lucky individuals and creative creatures at the Sugarplum Cake shop in the 5th district of Paris. I showed up to document the event and join in the amusement. Continue reading
